Merry Christmas, Everyone! I'm in Sāo Paulo - where are you? Compared with most country collecters, MTP'ers are spoiled with choice, with not just one, but TWO Christmas Islands to choose from every holiday season.
Congratulations also to Jeroen Agneessens, Joāo Paulo Peixoto, Harry Mitsidis, and others who have just returned from the South Pole. Jeroen has also written up his historic Salas y Gomez expedition here, while Roman Bruehwiler posted his own story here.
Thank you all for your list suggestions. We received several hundred, and have come to a consensus on changes. However, we're not quite ready to reveal all of the changes, as we're working on some exciting map upgrades, and would like to try to include the new items with that rollout, instead of having to do them twice.
Which means... we will reveal the changes to the MTP list on New Year's Day, a week from now. Which also means... THERE'S STILL A CHANCE for you to influence the final changes by writing in over the next week. I'm pretty sure I know the final list, but nothing's set in stone until we roll it out. I think New Years Day for a new list makes a lot more sense than Christmas anyway, so I don't feel bad about this postponement.
