Most Traveled People is proud to partner with the Philippine Global Explorers on Project Sibuyan, supporting local efforts to raise ecological awareness and advocate for the protection of one of the Philippines’ most important biodiversity treasures.
Together, we aim to demonstrate how experienced travellers can help safeguard fragile destinations through responsible, informed and purposeful exploration.
The trip is divided into 2 parts:
- April 14-17 is the climb to Mount Guiting-Guiting in Sibuyan Island
- April 18-21 is the sightseeing of Sibuyan and Romblon Islands
The cost is $250 for each part of the tour or $500 for both parts. The price includes a $100 contribution to the Philippine Global Explorers organisation to support campaigns and projects that make a positive impact on the Philippines’ environmental and cultural heritage initiatives.
This is a rarely visited destination within the Philippines, as it is not easy to reach independently. Visit Sibuyan Island, often described by international natural scientists as “the Galapagos of Asia.” Isolated since its formation, the island exhibits extraordinary levels of endemism and is home to the densest forest ever recorded in the Philippines.
