Hello Everyone, and Happy New Year once again!
The expansion of our overall MTP list to 1500 regions is now live!
Most of this update represents the incorporation of NomadMania (NM) regions, to reflect their importance in the travel world. NM has developed these regions over many years, using a combination of area, population, local perspective and other factors. We look forward to working with NM more in 2023.
Reminder that when you do log in next, your MTP counts will appear smaller than before. This is not a mistake! It's because regions you’ve visited are now divided into smaller pieces. You will have to update your visits, but keep in mind this is a one-time event. When you are done, your count will be greater than before (or at least equal).
If you have an NM account, you can update your visits automatically:
- Laptop/Web: Log into MTP and follow the instructions on the popup, or just go HERE
- iOS/iPhone: Upgrade to the current app version (1.28 (715)), log in, and follow the instructions on the popup, or click the Gear icon for Settings > Import Visits
- Android: Upgrade to the current app version (1.765), log in, and go to My Profile > Counts. Click the "Import NM visits" button
If you are an app user, for best results *Uninstall the app and reboot your phone before installing the latest version* to clear your phone's cache.
If you are a web user, note that you may need to refresh some web pages several times to see changes, depending on your browser’s cache management.
If you are not currently with NM, you should use your MTP map or checklist to update your counts:
- Laptop/Web: Click on YOUR MAP or YOUR CHECKLIST (you can toggle back and forth using the blue arrow in the header). On the map, click on any white area to bring up that region. Check in or out using the little box at the top.. Use the heart to follow news about that region, or report any problems using the 'Report' button
- iOS/iPhone: Upgrade to the current app version (1.28 (715)). On the Locations Tab, click anywhere on the map to bring up that region. Check in or out using the little box at the top.. Use the heart to follow news about that region. For a checklist view, go to My Profile > Counts
- Android: Upgrade to the current app version (1.765). On the Locations Tab, click anywhere on the map to bring up that region. Check in or out using the little box at the top.. Use the heart to follow news about that region, or report any problems using the 'Report' button. For a checklist view, go to My Profile > Counts
