I'm pleased to announce that the new MTP app for iPhone, nearly a year in the making, is now available on the Apple App Store HERE.
The MTP mobile app imbues all of the features of MTP on the web with geo-awareness, enabling a whole new level of immersive interaction. Now you can check in to all types of MTP with auto-notification, upload your posts and pics on the spot, and plan your next move on the go.
FEATURES INCLUDE:
- Geo-awareness of what MTP regions a user is in or near
- Map and list-based display of over 3400 MTP checklist travel destinations
- Automated check-ion notifications based on geolocation (both foreground and background)
- Nearest destinations, sorted by distance
- Directions to any checklist travel destination from current position
- Worldwide rankings of all users, combined with powerful filters across all lists
- Detailed location information, including user posts and photos
- User profiles, search and updating
When launching MTP for the first time, it's best to ALLOW NOTIFICATIONS, as well as ACCESS TO YOUR LOCATION AND CAMERA. This way the app knows where you are, can tell you when you've arrived, and lets you post your pics.
This is the first version, so please don't be shy with your comments through the normal comment form. We intend to go ahead with a version 1.1 for iPhone while gathering feedback, and then will port the result to Android.
