As we've mentioned a few times, our restaurant data was corrupted during the previous system, and it's been on our list to fix for a while now. At the same time, our list of Michelin 2 and 3-star restaurants was quite old, and needed to be refreshed in a way that would make it easy to update along with annual changes. Finally, the annual chef-voted Top 100 Restaurants list has begun to garner substantial interest, and includes restaurants from markets where Michelin doesn't operate yet (like Peru and Mexico).
So I'm pleased to report that we have updated our Restaurants list to include all 2018 Michelin 2 and 3-star restaurants, as well as the complete Top 100 list. Michelin is not the easiest data source to work with, so please speak up if you notice something which looks out of place.
Of course, with so many of the restaurants changing, we had to make a decision about how to best cleanse the corrupt user visit data. And we decided it would be best simply to start over. So we reset everyone's restaurants visits to zero, and encourage you to go back in at https://mtp.travel/me/restaurants to check off where you've dined. Apologies for the inconvenience. I've gotten the ball rolling with my 29 visits, and look forward to seeing others quickly surpass that total.
Changes to the MTP location list will be starting before year-end, as promised, and each week will bring other advancements as well. Don't hesitate to speak up with any thoughts or issues, and thank you for your support of MTP!
Take care and happy travels!!
