Hello Everyone, and Happy New Year!
Welcome to 2023, and the integration of Nomadmania regions into our overall MTP list and map. This is a Big Change, as MTP now has exactly 1500 regions!
Thank you to all of you who helped with testing! While we have completed the process in the background, we need a few more days to put the finishing touches on the user experience. So hang on, and I’ll be back later this week with detailed instructions when it’s safe to dive in.
Warning that when you do log in next, your MTP counts will appear smaller than before. This is not a mistake! It's because regions you’ve visited are now divided into smaller pieces. But when you are done updating, your count will be greater than before (or at least equal).
If you’re a current NomadMania user, we will have a cool shortcut for you to do your updates automatically.
Those of you who are not currently Nomadmania users will have some work to do to update your counts. But never fear - we will show you how. Keep in mind this is a one-time event, and in the end, your count will be greater than or equal to before.
As we work through this change, I also want to take a moment to recognize the Top 10 MTP Travelers as of the end of 2022, many of whom have been working on the MTP list for 10 years or more! We will be adding a permanent “shrine” to these travel stars on the site.
