I’m not an expert traveler, can I still join the competition?
Yes. You do not need to be an expert traveler or professional photographer to participate.
If you are not yet a member of the MTP community, simply create a free account on mtp.travel or through the MTP mobile app. Registration takes approximately two minutes.
Can I enter as part of a team?
No. Participation is individual and each participant may enter the competition only once.
I’m under 18 years old, can I still take part?
No. Only participants aged 18 or over are eligible to enter the competition.
Can I recommend someone to enter?
Yes. Any eligible participant may enter the competition, so feel free to invite fellow travelers, friends and photographers to submit their photographs.
What is the deadline to enter?
Entries may be submitted until 30 September 2026.
How many photos can I submit?
You may submit up to five (5) photographs free of charge through our submission platform. Visit mtp.travel to enter the competition and submit your photographs.
Can all my photos be from the same country?
Yes. Your photographs may be from the same country or from different countries and locations.
Can I edit or replace a photo after submission?
No. Once a photograph has been submitted, no changes, replacements or amendments are permitted.
When will the winners be announced?
The winners and final results are expected to be announced in early January 2027.
Can I exchange my prize?
No. Prizes are personal, non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other benefit.
Where can I purchase the book when it’s published?
Details regarding the publication and purchase of the official MTP Photography Book will be announced on mtp.travel and through MTP communication channels once available.
What do you mean by unpublished work?
All submitted photographs must be the participant's original work and must not have been previously published or publicly displayed in any book, magazine, official website, exhibition, or other public medium. Photographs must also not have been used for any promotional, advertising, commercial, or marketing purposes before submission to the competition.
